Types

- Atlas port-a-wall inserts are inserts that can be moved from car to car when changing tyres
Grooved Type
A special machine makes a groove in the tyres, then they put special paint in the groove. Looks great, can be done to any size tyres, not just the limited sizes avaialable as new whitewalls:

Some suppliers are mobile, they come to your place with their van and do it. The above is a picture of Mr. Whitewall out of Adelaide, Australia.
New tires have a thicker white section so may be more durable over the long run. They can be restained several times.
